How Running An Ebay Business Isn't All Hard Work And Can Be Fun.
It is a usual feeling that you can't be doing anything worthwhile on eBay or in business generally if you are actually having fun doing it. The all to common attitude is if you have fun it is not work and that being the case you can't make a living at it.
I have noticed the cynical attitude of people with regards to the thought of having a good time. People believe they should feel almost guilty if what they do to make money is enjoyable and they should stop doing it and get real job.
But I notice that people who do make money on the net on the whole have a lot of fun doing it especially those that make a lot of money.
When you speak to the experts it is apparent that the concept of work is a drag, as something serious that you need to take a break from, is foreign to them.
Anyone who takes the time to question the theory behind the puritan work ethic might come up with some interesting facts.
It seems that those who know how to play make more money than those who make a strict separation between what they do to earn a living and what they do to live it.
Consider the possibility of making a serious amount of money on eBay.
There are a majority of people on the net that fall in to one of two categories: First there are those that believe that the intracies of eBay is beyond them and they will need some sort of gift from god to run any kind of business. The second group are not much different believing that they would never be able to competete against so many other people. The net result is the same both types they either fail or give up (assuming they even started).
The biggest challenge I find with coaching people is overcoming this mindset problem. Too many people think business has to be run to very strict rules and guidelines which removes the fun element of being in a virtual business.
Those who make it on eBay have to be creative; they have to be thinking outside the box. And, the thing about seriousness is it's a great big box that people get stuck inside of.
One top internet marketing expert says " People seem to set their sights too high and figure it all needs to be planned out before starting"
Having spoken to a number of highly successful players on eBay the one thing they all said about newbies was they feel intimidated when they start to think of the millions of dollars some people are already making on eBay. Their first reaction is one of excitement the second one of sheer terror.
It is for this reason so many people with the potential to run their own business never really get started. Whilst there is nothing wrong with dreaming of big business the secret is to start small and build gradually as you go.
So why don't you start having some fun and get started making some money on eBay today you might be surprised at how easy making money and having fun can be?
